Sinead Vincent

Kia ora koutou. I am a born and bred Taupō local. My interests include a variety of summer and winter sports, alongside spending time with my friends and whanau. My job at the Taupō District Council sees me helping and supporting local events across our district. Seeing these events like Dancing for Life Education in Partnership with Tall Poppy Real Estate become a reality for our community is thrilling and exciting to see! I have zero experience dancing, other than in front of a small crowd at either Finn’s Gastro Pub & Beer Garden or my local fan-favourite Dbar. I would have to say if this were a singing competition I’d be in for the win! I am extremely competitive, but I look forward to having lots of fun and meeting other talented locals within our community. Having also nominated a few dancers in 2019, I thought I’d put my money where my mouth is and raise my hand to this challenge. It will definitely push me out of my comfort zone, but I look forward to jumping on that stage in November – wish me luck….as I feel I may need it!

Bernie Money

Hi my name is Bernie Money. I’m a proud father of four amazing children with another one on the way with my lovely wife Kat. I’m a local business owner with a passion for Engineering and supporting young people into trades. Although not originally from Taupo, I’m proud to be a part of this great community and always want to do my bit to help out. I think I was tricked into this, Tracey Thompson told me it was fun but now I’m nervous and way too fat and weak for this! I’m also excited though because as anyone who knows me knows I like a good boogie, just not sure how I will go doing this sober!

Thankfully I have the support of my family and friends and my team at Armoured Engineering and Pirtek Taupo. I’m looking forward to having a good time and supporting such an amazing cause. This way I won’t drink a little much and buy another trip to Bali.
