Jess Nicholas
I'm Jess Nicholas, and along with my husband Blair and our three boys, we consider ourselves proud Taupō locals.
By day, I work as an account manager at Aon Insurance Taupō. Outside of work, I'm actively involved in the Taupō community as Vice President of the Taupō Business Chamber and as secretary and junior coordinator for Taupō Football Club.
These roles allow me to advocate for our business community's growth and promote youth sports participation.
This year, I'm excited to support Dancing for Life Education, fundraising for a very worthy cause – I can remember the excitement of a “Harold day” back when I was at primary school and am grateful this is still available for our children.
While my dance experience is limited to the floors of Finn’s, Dance Club, and even vertigo back in the day, I'm excited to learn some new moves!
Embracing the same advice I give my kids about facing fears, I'm stepping out of my comfort zone to dance!
Chris Te Whare
Kia ora My name is Chris Te Whare and I currently work in several local schools helping students with their wellness.
I have put my name forward to challenge myself in an unfamiliar programme as I always ask the students I have worked with over the years to do the same so I have to practice what I preach! And that giraffe has been doing a great job for years and years (some say Harold is even older than Robyn King) so here goes! Thanks for your support of Life Education Trust!

Feel the fear and do it anyway" were the words that came from Robyn, in the same meeting I was about to sit down and tell her I couldn't do it... and that is the main reason I decided to take the leap and take on the huge task and responsibility of teaching a couple to dance. I have been dancing since I was a young girl and then my heart took to cheerleading which combined dance with the likes of stunts, tumbling and acrobatics. I am so passionate about helping people move and improve every single day through my work and I hope to do exactly the same here at the wonderful Dancing for Life Education Trust.
Teacher - Caitlyn McRae
Hi I’m Caitlyn, a dance teacher at one of Taupō’s local dance schools. I am so excited to be apart of this experience helping amazing people. I grew up dancing until the end of high school and have returned to the studio where I danced to start my teaching journey.
I love creating so I’m very excited to be apart of dance for life education and choreographing to a new style of dance.
