Anne Jordan
Hi, I am Anne Jordan, I feel so excited to be a part of the "Dancing for Life Education Fundraising event". Life Education does such an amazing job in supporting and educating Children in the important areas of health and wellbeing. I am Co-Founder of HempNZ, a Company that has health and wellbeing at its forefront, by providing nutritious hemp food products. I have a lifelong passion for the arts and theatre, including amateur dramatics, which I have taken roles in over the years. I enjoy being a part of the laid back Turangi lifestyle, taking long river walks with my two little dogs. I am looking forward to putting my best foot forward in the dance competition, hoping to have lots of fun and raise money too for this important event.

I am a father of three and a proud resident of the Southern Lake in Turangi. Born and bred in the Waikato I can quite happily say I am proudly and staunchly now King Country. Moving to Turangi for business and being welcomed so effortlessly has been humbling and I am truly grateful to the community for it. Working and training in Grocery for the last 15 years has culminated in the opportunity to take on the New World in our beautiful little town.
With a love of music and certainly an appreciation of dancing I am really grateful that I am in a position to be a part of this event. How this translates and looks could be vastly different. Completely stepping outside my comfort zone and learning something new from scratch is everything we ask and try to install in our children, so I really have no choice! In recently joining the Turangi Fire Brigade the training and atmosphere I feel will align well with learning and dancing in front of an audience. -HUGE similarities!!! Lol.
I have worked alongside Life Education Trust as a Parent and as a Primary School Board member for the last 7 or 8 years and have seen first-hand not only the effect on children but the excitement and support felt by, and toward the teachers as Harold and the Truck rolls in.
Life Education trust plays such a pivotal role in what as parent and teachers we can teach and nurture in our youth. The chance to aid in a fundraiser of this scale is quite humbling and will no doubt soften my fears and nerves. Well done to Life Education Trust, all the other dancers and the supporters. Let’s do this!

This energetic and talented couple competed in New Zealand and Australia during the 1980’s and 1990’s during which time they were New Zealand Senior Ballroom champions 3 times and New Zealand Senior Latin American champions 5 times. They competed in the TV dance series Battle of Ballroom and appeared in a Christmas edition of Celebrity Wheel of Fortune.
In 1999 they turned Professional and they took over Tango and Cha Dance Studio in Tauranga running it successfully until 2017 when they retired and moved to Tūrangi to be closer to family. Currently they run a small social class in Turangi charging a token fee which is paid back into the community.
