Aimee Elliott
My name is Aimee and I’ve been living in beautiful Taupō for around eight years; prior to this my husband Mason and I spent many wonderful holidays up here, and family getaways when I was growing up. Taupō has always been a place dear to my heart, with its gorgeous lake, mountains nearby, trails, and friendly people. I am a mother of one teenage daughter and two crazy fur babies. I have been in Education for the past twenty four years, and have enjoyed being able to visit lots of Life Education classes with my own students during this time. Nothing beats meeting Harold at the end of the session; I was always just as excited as the children. With my interest in health and well-being, and knowing just how beneficial the Life Education programme is to our tamariki; I am keen to have a go, and dance for this brilliant cause. Having only ever done a bit of ballroom dancing in classes with students, being a mouse in a ballet recital at age 9, dancing in the lounge at home, and on dancefloors with friends, this is all new to me, but I’m secretly excited to get out of my comfort zone. I am a passionate trail and road runner, so I'm hoping this may help me to keep up, in time with the dance moves, and with my dance partner. I am really looking forward to this experience.
Ryan Curran-Pacquing
Ryan is a recent transplant into Taupō , and has swiftly embraced the serene lake lifestyle and his wonderful marriage to a local pharmacist, by his side. Their shared passion for community engagement has led them to actively contribute to local causes. Ryan's childhood encounters with Harold the Giraffe left a lasting impression, igniting a desire to make a difference. Stepping out of his comfort zone, Ryan eagerly embraces the challenge of participating in an enormous fundraising event for the Life Education Trust in Partnership with Tall Poppy Real Estate to support a meaningful charity, eager to leverage his outgoing nature to benefit the community he now calls home.
